And cause I'm bored.
Day I got it in 2012. Yes it was a christmas present and my first car. Later went mid travel and hauled dirt bikes for years. Then i fell into the TW phase of overloading.
My dad then convinced me to cut the truck up to do a sas with no daily lol. Stole my moms car for 3 months while we knocked it out.
Phase 1 of the sas after we initially finished it.
It got wheeled hard on 35s. Did a moab trip, my first rubicon trip were i destroyed a knuckle with no spare (started my ocd obsession of carrying any spare part i can), and a bunch of local trails. Also got a set of half doors which are the best thing ever.
Phase 2 was after i won a gift certificate at moab at ordered some 37s and bobbed the bed and decided it was time to make it strictly a crawler/run around town rig. Still dallying it at this point almost 40 miles a day. But towards the end did pick up a daily/tow pig.
It got wheeled even harder. Still not breaking parts but was wanting more. Did another moab trip, redeemed myself on the rubicon with no issues and went to sand hollow a ton as well as local trails.
Phase 3 wasn't huge but its got downhill since. Front end got a ruffstuff axle at 68"wms with mini truck internals. Wanted the width to keep the tires out of the cab and rocks off the body. Rear got spacers for the time being.
Work got busy so no major trips. 3rd moab trip, a lot of sand hollow and more local trails. No rubicon sadly.
Fresh out of the garage.
This brings us to Phase 4 i guess since tires changed which is in reference to the above post. Picked up a ruffstuff 9 in housing and solid axle industries full float kit. 35 spline 3rd with 5.29s and zip locker all from yukon. Front got a high pinion 8 in with a zip locker and 5.29s as well. Got a set of 39 in race take offs and currently outboarding the shocks with some hydro bumps. Getting there slowly but surely. After this is done, it'll probably be a cage and maybe an atlas but then i want to start collecting parts for a buggy build.
Thanks guys. Only get to work on it on the weekends so current updates are done for the time being. I can keep posting throw back pictures of the initial sas if anyone wants it lol. It’s getting there. Nothing special. Just a leaf spring Toyota on fancy axles haha
As far as wheeling goes we do our fair share. Most of the time we'll post up a trail run thread and open invite it. Next run will be Swamp Lake. If Sand Hollow is local to you I'd guess your from St. George. Swamp will be a drive for you but the trail is supposed to be pretty good. Once you get settled in check out the Trail Carnage thread and post up some broken parts. lol
