Figured since we have a Guns and Hunting section now, we can add to it. Where are some good places to buy ammo these days?

I got his email today, and wondering if its a good deal. I haven't purchased ammo in a while. This is at Big 5.

Are we even allow to buy online with these new laws that passed a while back? I remember that being an issue at some point of discussion. I haven't purhcased ammo in a while and when I did the last few times, I just gave my brother money and we split a few 1000 round boxes.

We are for now until like July then it's going to require some sort of back ground check that's still to be determined.

Er sorry online sales are a no go unless shipped to a ffl.

You can buy online and have the ammo shipped here. However, you must have it shipped to an FFL. With that, you have to pay the associated storage fees and whatever else.

I find LAX reloads powder to be very dirty. Plus my HK doesnt like them but my 1911 chews them up so idk

I did the prime membership and have saved enough in shipping and cost to justify the $95. My last case of 9mm was $157 shipped!
Wish they had reloading components but for cheap range ammo they kick ass!

That's where I used to order from. Walmart is up the street and typically pretty comparable in price.

on behalf of my California brethren I thank you for your offer and would gladly do so if I’m going to fire those rounds in a legal manner outside of California and then not bring back more than the allotted amount determined by the Californian DOJ to be imported into the state for personal use

I can ask if they became a law enforcement officer but will not put them in a situation where they would essentially be doing a straw purchase.

Wal Matt has a pretty good deal on Winchester white box 55gr 5.56.
200 rounds for $58. Before tax it breaks down to 29 cents a round, perfect for plinking ammo.

I’m very partial to American made ammo, it’s just more consistent. Did shoot a lot of Lithuanian M855 recently and it did fine. Likely won’t get more tho due to California availability

Cheap 10mm ammo $299/case with free shipping
This is the cheapest I have seen 10mm ammo! It's not the best ammo but it goes bang every time. A lot of places are having great ammo sales right now probably up to Memorial day. Feel for you CA guys as this is the time to stock up!

I really just need a couple thousand of 20 gauge lead 8 shot for the range. I shoot it as fast as I buy it though, so having stash won't really hold me over for that long. Unless I was ballin' enough to have a pallet's worth.
