Anyone have a spare U-Bushing retainer plus upper bolt and lower stud?

Here’s what I did to mine last weekend. The studs ripped out of the crossmember, and the U-Bracket was not very pretty anymore. I straightened that bracket out pretty well. So I got some M14 fine thread bolts. I think a 70mm and 80mm, plus some nylock nuts. I welded in a 3/16” plate with the nylock nuts welded to it. It fits MUCH better now. Plus I doubt it’ll rip out of the crossmember again. Not sure if you are having the same issue but I think this could be a solution.

Thanks. Similar issue. My u-bracket is pretty tweaked so I think I will try to find a better one. Will probably do the same thing.

Mines pretty bad as well. I can see 1/2" of daylight between it and the bushing. I've been to involved with the tubbing to pull my skids and take a look.

@AssBurns I like the fix. Maybe we'll have to do that to mine.

I'll translate: "did the nylon part of the nut melt when you welded it - does it still lock?" :)
Ah! Yeah I’m sure it lost some of its life but it was still pretty tight fitting so I’m sure it’ll be fine

I know, I need to fix stuff but way too good snow wheeling out there. Our club requires Captain Morgan poses when you get stuck. Here is my best attempt after almost flopping and having to climb out my window - Ranger wasn't impressed.20190120_142153.jpg
