Amateur alignment to get it close enough to get to the alignment shop. Yes, I measure from the end of the bar, not this close in. If I did the outer end, I couldn’t take this cool action photo. Actually turned out pretty well, but the steering wheel was about 10° off.

Nice, back to roller status. Hope the lil booger will stop if you start rolling into running status. Bail of hay at the end of the street? :help::rofl:

Love the dichotomy of new shiny and rust bucket. Some call that "art".

Maybe when I get around to changing out struts and springs I’ll clean up the steering assembly and brake calipers. First car I’ve ever seen with “pinch bolts” that clamp the struts to the steering arm. Alignment shop said it’s was easy to align, although the back suspension wasn’t in a shape to retain the adjustments. Just barely out of spec, so nothing that would affect drivability. That’s a project for another day.

Dishes are done man.

And, of course, check engine light comes on on the way home. O2 sensor. Sweet. Gotta fix that. I live in the only emissions mandated place in the state.
was there much rejoicing and peeling out in the street?

Didn’t really want to try the patience of the vehicle gods. Although it was fun to drive, especially the roundabout. But I plan to treat that transmission with care as long as I can. And just to annoy me a little more, this thing has two O2 sensors.

Now it’s done. This fix was... challenging. Only four hours to replace a pair of O2 sensors. Sure would have been easier to do this with the front subframe off. The last one finally threw up the white flag with a sensor socket, 1/2”-to-3/8” adapter, universal joint, 4x 1/2” extensions (one of them a wobbler) and an impact gun. Take that!

Kid’s car developed an in-car swimming pool in the right floorboard. Interwebz guided me to this:

How in the hell does the sunroof drain tube just “fall off”? JFC…

Pretty much the same thing happen to coworker's 4 door Mini early spring. His driver side drain got clogged up somewhere lower (possibly behind the fender) and the rubber flex hose fell off just like yours, and flooded driver's side.

Check if your's isn't clogged, it would definitely explain it.

At least it’s old. Brand new 80k super duties had leaky sunroofs for a while

sliders for short people are risky. You may be better off with actual steps. As terrible as that sounds.

bro in law had a turbo cooper for a few years. He absolutely loved it. It did have some bmw type issues but he still loved it.
Didn’t they do a supercharger one for a while too?
