Broke something on the trail. Post it up.
Had the epic recovery from hell. Tell the story.
Lost your CV on the way to the mall? Let's here about it.
There's a wealth of info on how to make your rig stronger, better, faster. Even with that info wheeling an IFS rig will cause shit to break. Maybe by posting our carnage here we can save someone else the headache in the future. Plus, it's just fun to see the carnage.
Since this is an IFS centric forum I figured I'd start with a blown CV or two. Yeah, it's mundane but everyone has to start somewhere. lol
Everyone of those was broken on the Dusy/Ershim. There's no cool recovery story to go along with those. They where all replaced easily.
One thing I did learn though, thanks to @rkntoy, was the bottle jack trick. He has the factory bottle jack with a lug nut welded to the crank handle. Instead of getting out the hi-lift you just place the bottle jack under the LCA. Once aligned use an impact on the crank handle. In seconds your tire is off the ground and the suspension is also compressed. That makes swapping out a CV so much easier. I would recommend anyone that wheels modify the jack and use it for front suspension repairs whenever possible.
