Well here it all is. Swapped front and rear diffs over the the holiday. Now running on 4.10 instead of 4.30. RIP
Both front and rear were blown. The rear basically fell apart as we pulled it out.
Here are the wrecked spider gears after driving 400 miles home on a blown diff
Replaced these bolts.
Back together and good as new.

Not so much "Trail Carnage" but fun shit none the less.
The truck sat on a slight hill for 8 days while I was out on the river. Came back and went to drive home to find my truck was hydro locked. Guess my head gasket leak was a lot worse than I thought haha.
Id post the video but can't seem to figure out how.
Drove it 100 miles since this and no adverse effects. Poured some K-seal in my coolant and sending it on a 1000 mile trip so we shall see how it does.

Apparently my diff breather failed at some point this spring, and sucked water into the diff, with oil existing the axle seal, and washing grease out of the bearing with it.

Just normal driving. Left the store this am and heard a hella racket.
Gotta pull the whole axle off which means disassembling the rear brakes. You'll need a specific tool, or build one, to get the bearing off. Seal you just pop out and new one in while everything is apart.
I'll be building one, even billing for my time I can do it for less than $300. The stealership wants 1k$ per side to do it.
Ya your better off. The blue one from the youtube vid ships from india.
Supposedly that's a Yukon gear tool.
