Nice. How’s that going?
He's so freaking awesome. About to turn 1 year old. The only thing he needs work on is breaking his attention from whatever he's focused on. So far it's tough. I'm thinking about getting an E-collar for him. Other than that he listens really well, knows a bunch of commands and tricks, and is just generally a great dog.

That’s awesome man. Good for you. We have E-collard for our dogs. They don’t need to be shocked too many times before they pay attention to just the warning tone.

Also good off lead. like if someone shows up unexpected and your dogs want to jump all over them.

My brother has an e collar. Dog responds to the vibe or warning tone now. That's even if it's needed. His dog is at the point where he can sit (place) and stay there until my brother walks hundreds of feet away. He will stay there until he says come. That pup is 5 years old though.

Mine will stay for 15-20 feet.

Best pics I have of them together.

E-collars are awesome. Check out the Dogtra brand. Waterproof and a 1 mile range

I've never had any luck with e-collars. My dogs usually just look at me and keep doing what they were doing..

The point is to make them look at you, not so much as a punishment.

My basenjis have an incredible prey drive, I'll hit the male with a full power blast on the dogtra, he'll look at me like "oh, i forgot you were there. how may I help you" when he's on a deer or rabbit. But the vibrate is enough if he's just on a cheaseburger or wandering around.

Alright, Alright

It doesn't really look like they're getting much traction this year, but then again, I'm not really all over the social media...
