This car brings out the childhood giddiness in me. I still remember the very first Z car I saw as boy in the 90's when a beautiful twin turbo 300ZX drove by us on I-10 westbound through Montclair when my family was in the Nissan Quest. I had a 2012 Nismo 370Z, but it was my only car and I was only able to take having a 2-seater and a street bike as my modes of transportation for 2 years.

I hope I don't do something stupid and impulsive by buying one of these before I buy a house. I thought I liked the new Supra, but the 400Z has the potential to be a home-run for someone who enjoys the drive.

Better then the supra because it offers a manual
Yup. I know BMW I-6 engines are easy to make stupid numbers with and mordern automatics are quicker, but a manual makes the drive more enjoyable for a sports car.

If it makes at least 400 hp people going to like it.

They are going away from historically naming it after engine displacement. The 400 is the rated hp.

I dig it. As a former Titan owner (times 2 lol) I’ll always be a Nissan guy. The 370’s were awesome until they were outdated. Typical Nissan fashion to take an extra decade to update a vehicle.

I like it too. Has the price been announced?
Wonder if it will handle better than the Honda Type R.

I paid $42k otd in 2012 for a Nismo 370. My guess is $42-45k to start for one of these then in the 48-50k range when they come out for a Nismo version.

RWD with staggered wheels/tires should be better handling than a FWD with too much power and torque steer. But, Honda does do good with steering on their R vehicles. The ITR of the late 90's is still considered one of the best handling FWD of all time.
