Winch worked. It was the controller that wasn’t working :flipoff:

Yeah your fancy ass Warn was real good that day. and everyone talks shit about buying cheap winches.... "cause what about that one day you really need it?" "Yeah bro buy the $1,900 Warn" "Better to have the best when it comes to recovery"

I'm with Matt on this. My Engo pulled my truck up a 1/4 mile on the back of Juans jeep one night. Given we could actually daisy chain some sections unlike Claw Hammer but still, didn't let me down.

Yup, I agree with that statement. More money doesn't always mean a better product. I need to pull my controller box apart and see if I messed anything up from how I set things up. The plug for the remote sticks up, and when I close my hood it basically sits on the remote plug. Pretty sure I damaged it from the hood sitting on it. Probably my fault it had trouble, but still agree with your guys' statements.

Mostly just giving you shit. I had my box pulled apart last night and its just a big ass electromagnet relay/switch inside. I'm pretty sure any box would work to control your winch if you need to swap it out with a new one.

I've got a spare Smittybilt box. Wonder if that will work on his. I need to swap the new one in still so my wireless works again.

One thing that is different about the Warn controller box is it uses some sort of double solenoid shit. It's supposed to be safer and not cause any accidental battery loss or something like that. That's what I think I read once, but I have no idea. I'm sure if could be swapped in an emergency with another controller box though. Pretty basic shit really.
