Well it's Friday which means I'm drinking whiskey working in the garage and being financially ignorant again. I want new headlight....which means new side markers....which means I need tail lights to match.....my cart is at 1400. And I got to do the 3rd brake light but want to do the srq bracket with the Baja s2 in them for chase/reverse lights. But also want to add a s2 on the interior of the rear hatch. So I'm guessing over 2k. I don't NEED to do this. But I wanna!

Make sure you order the headlights and side markers for a 99-02. The 96-98 fluted ones aren’t nearly as nice looks and performance wise. Actually, the 01-02 tail lights are way nicer too, but they require the wiring harness from those years because the bulbs that plug into the back are different sizes. Best to get them together from a part out, but I know they sell them aftermarket too. If you Google image them you’ll see the differences.

Good to know. I was just on srq website was looking at all their options. I forget who they have do the retro fits. Was just going to have them make me a set. All around. But I put myself on idle for the moment. I have spent enough and I have a trip to MT in less than 4 weeks so should probably not go and spend 2k right now.

We are taking the tacoma. Which is already laced with baja's and new headlights. Bumpers are out at powder coat as we speak. (Front getting redone and rear just got finished being built) GFC gets installed the 26th. The wife's truck is the overlander mine is the beaten 4runner.

I have to deal with jokes that it's nice my wife takes me camping lol even tho I do all the wrenching, buying and driving.

It's nice to have both. The runner is gonna be my overlander/stupid over built vehicle to do shit as I want with my kid rig. The 2wd Tacoma will be my desert shooting/solo rig until I get stupid and long travel it.

I upgraded my tail lights to 01-02 and they came with the wire harness that was a a little more work to install, but worth it,.IMO.

01-92 left, 96-99 right.

99+ front glass is much nicer and a must if retrofitting projectors. I have not found any difference in side markers over the years but I prefer the clear ones, which I promptly painted orange, if you can find them vs the orange dot model.

I will have to see what they use for their retros. Or I will just have to source parts and do them myself. Those look awesome!!

Thanks for the info! Doesn't look to bad at all. I will see if I can source the glass headlights and go from there. Still goingvto be a few months before I can tackle this mod tho.

Got the bumpers back from powder coat last night and all mounted. Got some last min packing to do tonight. Then start driving up to Montana to go see our good friends at GFC and get the new camper installed. After that we have like 10 days of exploring. West Yellowstone, grand tetons and down into moab. Today is going to be a slow day at work. I'm already in vacation mode. I'm going to try and work on moving all my shit into my new office to pass the time.

Well I made it to the end of the day. Got all the shit moved into my new office and all the other crap done. Even with 1 week not being at work I killed my sales goal for the month. Now to do a oil change, dust seal the bed rails, remove the bed rack and pack. Cook dinner take a Bing rip and pass out in 2 hours. Wish me luck ladies. 16613875914522292326195538562435.jpg
