What I'm thinking. I don't have to worry about airbags. And my current wheel is pretty disgusting. My hand sticks to it at the noon position. Anyone else do a aftermarket wheel? Pros cons I'm not thinking about?

Yeah my Tacoma steering wheel is getting pretty bad but I haven't cleaned the interior in a long time and it sits at the curb a lot. Poor truck needs some love so I'll be happier driving it once in awhile.

I can deal with the wheel. The white paint chipping is driving me nuts tho. Yeah give your taco some love. I do see some really nice leather covers out there. I just prefer something completely new.

@Tacoma Pros can chime in if he logs in. Main con I’ve heard is the turn signal not auto-turning off because of a clock spring issue

I have aftermarket. I like it. I got a 350mm. Suede so my hands don't slip. No more sweat or cold in the winter. Just make sure your adapter and wheel don't create too much distance from stock. Seems like you have the distance figured out. Use thread lock.

Gotta pick my battles right now. Trying to get the runner up and functioning 100% then I can concentrate on the Tacoma.

Since lifting my Tacoma 4" and putting on 285 75 17 Cooper STT Pros, I don't drive it much. At best it gets 10mpg and my commute is 50 miles a day.IMG_20211005_135608007_HDR.jpg
Talk about needing some lovin'. It has needed a repaint for 7 years.

Good to know. I was a bit worried about that looking at my current set up. I like the idea of suede!

With current gas prices and 10 mpg I understand not driving it. My wife's is a 6" lift with all the armor. Luckily work commute is 3 miles.

@madtaco461 you have any pics of your steering wheel? And what adapter did you use?
I have an nrg quick release.
It's a momo replica. I don't have horn or blinker auto shut off hooked up. The blinkers I shut off manual. Been riding street bikes for 15 years. On day I'll put my horn on my dash with a momentary switch. Once this wheel peels I'll get a name brand. They are cheaper now. Momo used to be $350 for a suede truck wheel around 2015.

Exactly what I was looking for. I more just wanted to see the adapter to the wheel to check out what it would look like and if I was headed down the right path. Yeah they are getting cheaper for sure. Definitely don't mind 195 for a new wheel.

Way better than that Toyota wheel. You'll like it on the trail.

My UCA'S showed up today! Finally!!!! That's the last piece I needed for the front end. So with that being said I'm onto planning a mod day/bbq/party. All the boys are down luckily to make the 2-1/2 hour trek up the mountain to my place. Just got to figure out a time. Then of course wheeling after.

Got everything pretty much done thanks to @XPOTRPR and @PRISE. I don't think either are in here but are in the other website.

New rack and Pinon, outer tierods, lower ball joints, shocks, upper control arms, brake lines. Definitely sitting a bit higher. But glad it's all done. Still waiting on rear struts to get here from king. Still have a few more smaller items to do. And added a pic of Josh and Andrew from last night's little party we had.
