After some rain, figured the forest would be muddy and fun. Not as much mud as I expected, but did get pretty frikkin’ dirty. Also got a little more aggressive with the truck, trying some stuff I hadn’t before. Did some more technical crawling and climbing, but not so much as to damage anything (yet). Decent sized rocks, uphill through washouts, some rutted areas, nothing too deep (except for one where I fell in a rut underwater—that was… exciting). All fun and no locker used.

Oh, and there was a guy there this weekend with a JDM, right-hand drive diesel 80-series. That thing was pretty bad ass.

I miss dirt.
With other things going on in life, I only get out once or twice a year. So when I do, I really like it. Hundreds of miles of trails up in the forest out here. Can take a while to see them all. Just have to watch the MVUM closely so you don’t end up somewhere you aren’t supposed to be. Some trails are ATV/snowmobile only, some hiking/skiing only, some OHV only, some anything goes.

Some photos and vids from others on the trip:

It’s not out west, but it’s ours. The camera never really reveals the size of the rocks and the steepness of the obstacles.
