People have some terrible scores if that’s the average
Median age in TX is only 34. If you compare the state credit score averages to state median age averages they almost line up perfectly. Credits got a lot to do with how long it's been established. It took until I was 39 for me to finally break the 800 barrier. I've never missed a payment in my life and have had credit since I was 18.

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen someone under 30 with a credit score >800. Takes a while to get that high. Even getting to 780 is pretty hard to get without a long length of credit history.

I think I’m sitting at an 805 at 34 right now when I was 29 and bought my truck they ran my credit and it was 815, No bullshit. But what has helped is I have owned my own homes since 19 and have never missed a payment on anything in my life. My brothers on the other hand yea they are the ones that bring that average down

I hear you. I wasn’t considering median age. Upon figuring that into my brain I figure we are doing decent on a national average.
