Working on stripping down the 3rd Gen of all its accoutrements that will not be viable in its next stage of life.
Front end was the first to go... I'll try working something out to get this winch plate tucked behind the stock bumper, but for a bit the bumper will come off and I'll make sure I actually want this addicted offroad winch plate base.

I would like to get the body parts trimmed back some and cleaned up. Hidden winch might be nice

Family outing during our coldest week of the winter. Single digits and even lower wind-chill, the young'in loved being out in the woods.

Diesel heaters make winter epic.

Out of curiosity what setup did you go with? length of shock? Spring rate? Etc... also those reservoirs got live valves?
Fox Factory 2.5 DSC (Performance Elite) series.
1. I opted to not build a set of Factory series bodies because I really didnt feel like having to deal with bodies potentially showing rust.
2. I personally like the darker colored bodies.

This isn't an off the shelf shock, but you can shoot me a message if you want more details.

6" stroke up front
Custom Valve Tune
550lb Springs (I have strong opinions that 90% of the off-shelf setups are (over-sprung).
*Most kits come with 600lb springs.

* I am running a winch plate and Superwinch 9500 (synthetic) up front. No planned additional weight.

Not sure of the weight differences between the 1KZ-TE and the 3RZ-FE/5VZ-FE

Reservoirs: No Live-Valve...... Yet:playball:

Honestly not sure why, but I can tell you that it isn't always the shock manufacturer's fault; who knows!

I've got so much weight up front that even with a tune I don't think the 650s could have handled it. Shocks are now tuned for the 700s plus the weight and it's night and day difference. Those 3rd gens are definitely lighter to begin with.

1: I've gotten to know FOX pretty well and could tell they weren't off the shelf which is what prompted my question. Good for you for doing it that way.

2: Also agree

3: Nor am I

4: Game changers for tuning and adapting to different terrains!!!

Took my lunch break to clean things up a bit.

I'm a big fan, I have some work to do cleaning up the cuts as well as potentially pulling all of the plastics off to paint with something a bit more durable.
