So whos confirmed? Lets update the op. Im good to go.
Is our plan to meet and camp at courtright on Saturday 28th and then start the trail Sunday. I think we know the camps along the way and should just play it out depending on time we have in the day. I for sure want to camp at Dusy Lake this year.

The plan is to start the trail Saturday early. Then be off it by Tuesday. Then @Tetten and I go back to work while the rest of you do the trails Andy and I did last month.

I'll update the op with confirmed once people actually confirm. So far it's Steven, Andy, you and me.

I’m confirmed. Yeah I was thinking Saturday as a travel day, not necessarily a wheeling day.
@theesotericone are you planning to drive up there Friday night or Saturday morning? I already committed my baby sitter to Saturday morning dropping the kids off.

I'm working a full day as well. Then I have to drive through Yosemite. lol

I'll let @Tetten come in with his thoughts. One way or the other I'm planning on being off trail Tuesday and driving home. Works getting in the way but I have an obligation Wednesday that I can't shake.

From courtright to Thompson Lake is going to be at least 6 hours. And the drive up to shaver is 7 hours. Thats a lot of driving for day one.

You definitely shouldn’t have made plans on Wednesday knowing this trip was not set in stone haha
Ok. We'll figure it out. You're not taking the kids this year? What about Mariah?
Mariah is coming. Kids are not

Trust me, I didn't make my work plan. I also thought starting Saturday was the plan. lol
Obviously I saw and agreed with your plans, but at some point after, I must've figured that Saturday was a travel day. Which works out great for me since last year was rough getting there at 2am. I also don't have any offroad lights this year, so driving up there in the dark will suck ass on that rd up to courtright and on the trail.
I always thought we start the real trail Sunday so the weekend crowds are ahead of us
That's kinda what I had pictured too. I'll try to leave my house as early as realistically possible Saturday morning to try to be up there at a decent hour. I'm about 7 hours away from the trailhead.

I've been under the impression we were starting saturday morning as well. I was planning on driving up after I got off work on Friday at 10PM .

I don't see it being an issue doing the trail in 3 days as long as people don't break shit. Sunday night at Thompson or East Lake if people can get moving early enough in the morning. Monday night at Ershim Lake or Lakecamp Lake. If you guys want to spend an extra night on the trail, Matt and I can peel off on Tuesday and finish the trail that day and head home and others can spend the extra night at Lakecamp or whatever. Won't be a problem as long as Matt doesn't have any more hidden low strength fasteners on his rig. :flipoff:

You got a local source for M10x1.5x30? If so bring me 8 of them. If not I'll be using the crappy bolts that came with the LBJ. I also have a spare spindles in the rig so it shouldn't be a major issue. Shouldn't being the key word. lol

I'll get something. I picked up some in 1.25 and it's even finer then that. So it's not 1.5 but 1 for the thread pitch. Worse case I'll have these 10.9 m10x1.25x30 and I'll just impact those fuckers in with some JB weld. lol

I'm sure I'll be at the hardware store between now and the trip. I'' look to see if they have any 10.9 M10 x 30 extra fine thread.

Your spindle adapter bolts? I don't think those were ultrafine.

Sorry guys I suck at metric thread pitch. I just pulled a stock bolt and it's 1.25. So I have grade 10.9 bolts. If either of you can find grade 12.9 in m10x1.25x30mm grab me 8 of them please.
