Dead on Arrival - a build thread or a fixit thread

All done. Now I just need to sucker someone to come over tomorrow and help me move it to the runner. Hahaha.

The kicker is that I had a full can of metallic black sitting around. So i did 3 coats of high temp paint, and finished it off with a coat of metallic black for shits and giggles. Kinda sparkly.

First off fuck whoever came up with the 4runner ebrake system. Serious. They fucking suck.

Second, it definitely helps to have 2 people when putting the 3rd back in. Keeping my fingers crossed I didn't pinch the fucking air line. It was already close enough that it was getting grooves worn into it. Used my locker once in death valley so I know it's hold air at the moment, but I have a feeling I'll be replacing it soon.

Oh yeah, and my pinion gear is hitting my locker housing. I'm guessing this is normal?

Negative. There's no rails to zip tie it to on the 8". ECGS basically just says you have to get the copper tube under the lip while installing the 3rd.

Almost done. Gotta fight the ebrake system, bleed the brakes, torque everything down, and put the wheels back on.

Spent 4 hours fucking with the ebrakes. Finally wrapped it up as the sun was going down and I don't have shop lights. Everything is back together I just need to bleed the brakes, torque everything down, put gear oil in, and fix my driveshaft because it fell out of the slip yoke. So close. Might bust out the head lamp after dinner and at least torque everything down.

Save some for me. I stepped on the ebeake today on the new to me 4runner and nothing. Straight to the floor and cant hold the runner still on flat ground with a slight taill wind. Calling the dealership tomorrow so they can fix it v

Decided I'm going to eat the 200 dollar deposit, keep the 3rd member so I can regear it and have it for crawling trips, and lop the chunk of axle off that has the shock mount for @eimkeith

She lives! I've only taken a brief trip around the corner but she moves. I'll run to the grocery store in a bit and see how it feels. No rear bumps so I can't be jumping her across dips yet. My alignment is trashed but pretty sure that's still from death valley. Hasn't exactly moved since.

The camber or the axle position? Axle position looks good but I won't know until I fix my front alignment and someone drives behind me. The camber looked fine with the old axle in the driveway. Not sure what that was about. I'll probably run it to Firestone in a couple weekends and tell them to do. See what the numbers look like now.

Locker might be dead. I've gotta check the connector at the 3rd, but if that's tight I'll need to refurb this piece and run some new copper.
