So, before I go diving into the depths of the idiots that populate most major truck brand forums ("how do I tint the windows on my '15 Silverado?") does anyone here know year splits of modern Chevrolet transmissions?
I need to know the year splits for the 6l80/90 from 07 up.
Dealing with an 08 1500, factory computer, truck came with a 5.3 and a 4l65.
Was swapped to a 6.0 from a 2500, factory computer flashed to run factory 6.0 settings.
If it's that easy with a trans, the 4l65 will be ditched for a 6l90 ASAP. Because that 6.0 is going to chew up that little 4l65 after a cam and tune and whatever else was done.
I know I'll need a transmission (and therefore maybe engine as well) harness, because the electronics are not interchangeable.
I know for a time, Chevrolet updated and changed transmission compatibility every 2-3 years.
But if the ECU is, and can be flashed to run a 6l90, that'll make my life alot easier.
