Yea, scary as fuck, didn't pick him up but I tried and then there was that rattle, needless to say the .45 carne out quick but he did himself back down in ther hollow and we let him be. Always down for night runs!

Funny story... that's where I saw that Arizona black. In the wash before Chiva falls. Couldn't have been the same one because this was about 4 years ago but I guess that must be a good area for them. Maybe we need to do a night run out there and search the wash with flashlights for them. It'd be cool to get some good pics of one.

AZ critters. Yeah that's my pool deck and chair. Let the dog out to pee before bed and she started barking right away. Not a normal thing for her so I knew something was off. Stepped outside and started rattling 15ft away.

Well I struck out on my deer hunt. But I'm thinking of going back there in December with my bow.

Ok, sorry about the long absence! Been working lots of o.t. and hunting every weekend. I did not get a deer during the December archery season, although I did stalk several and got pretty close a couple times. This morning was my first chance at archery javelina and I made it count! Double lung shot. He died 55' from where I shot him. Pretty good turnout for my first archery big game animal.
