I think the general store/cabin rental place was for sale a few years ago. He almost bought the place and was going to move, with or without her. The problem with the PNW and one of the reasons why we ended up moving down here is in any of the urban / commuter cities around Seattle, housing prices are stupid. We've got an acre here plus a larger nicer house for marginally more than what we lived in (1200 sq ft) in one of the commuter cities up in the PNW.

I want to reverse snowbird when I get to retirement age and have a small cabin up there for summer in the middle of nowhere.
