Got quite a bit of little stuff done this weekend.
New AGM Battery is mounted on the rear fender well and wired.
Compressor is wired again.
Skid is finished besides the back lip that the trans skid will bolt to.
@Spiker hood struts installed (these are awesome btw. I wish I got them way sooner)
Fluids are good.
All but one aligment cam eliminator set is installed. (Didn’t want to pull the steering rack for it. I found another cam was broken)
Diff bolts are back in.

Some things I need to figure out:
Taillight fuse keeps blowing. Gotta find where it’s shorting.
Gauge lights aren’t on. Fuses are still good there.

Those Spiker hood struts are awesome. Hopefully you can track down your short, that happened to me and one of my taillights had a wire pinched and was shorting out on the body. Hopefully it is easy to find. The rear-mounted battery is pretty rad too, one less thing to worry about bouncing around in the engine bay.

Looks great, and glad you like the struts! A big improvement over what you had until just recently to prop the hood, hehe:

You wanna know what the final straw was to get them installed?
I left the stick on the intake manifold and went for a drive. I came back and it was gone. I was forced to install them. And damn I kicked myself in the ass for waiting so long. It was so easy and so damn convenient to have them installed.

It's paid. I just haven't gotten it smogged since 2017 when I started cutting all the fun stuff off. They won't send me tags until it passes smog. I haven't even tried to find someone to make it "pass".
Forgive my ignorance, but is this from the tank swap or something else? Trying to gather information on a smog-passing tank relocation for a 120 series.

Well not really. I think I could get it to pass smog with the tank swap.
I ditched all the EVAP stuff (knowing I was going to ditch the inner fenders and engine cage at some point, just took two years), ditched one of the cats and the bank 2 O2 sensor. I just stopped caring about passing smog and pay the registration without getting the tags. Been lucky for almost 3 years.

Got the new VHF radio installed yesterday afternoon. I was able to make it fit underneath the CB radio in the ash tray location. Pretty happy with it so far. I wasn’t sure how I wanted to mount the antenna permanently l, so I just routed the cable through the door jamb and under the plastic interior moldings. I would need another 10’ of cable to route it out the back through the hatch opening, and wasn’t sure if I wanted to drill any holes in the roof, so I didn’t want to commit to a damn hole in the roof. How did you guys route your antenna cables?
Also pulled the resistor in the radio off so that I can transmit on frequencies from 136-174 instead of the standard range of 144-148.

Lol. Gotta communicate with the homies. The little Boafeng just ain't cutting it anymore.
I'd get a roof rack before I ever got projectors :flipoff:

There's nothing wrong with roof racks. I keep all my tools up there so I can sleep in my rig. Faster and warmer then setting up a tent. Although I think I might do projectors and a light bar. I'll need it for my new life as an overlander. Beating the shit out of my rig is getting old. It's time to build something better for crawling.

Nothing wrong with roof racks. I just never liked them. Just a preference thing. I only said that because of who I was talk to. I can't sleep in my rig more than once a year anyways since I have too many people and too much shit that follows along with them. Usually if I'm solo, I'll just sleep on the ground anyways.
Sell your rig, but sell me your RCV's and CrawlBox first.

RCV's and crawlbox will go to the new owner. Unless it catches on fire and your around. Then you can pull them out super fast. Hint hint. lol

I have parts to replace them with so it looked like it never happened... :peep:

I could say I let you do the winch wiring so it looks believable. "I don't know what happened. My buddy Steven wired the winch and I went to use it and my rig caught on fire!" That's actually not really stretching the truth.

In reality though, I'll just sell it to someone who will use it like it's meant to be used. Which means I'll sell it here. Or maybe Pirate. llol
