We all know any derp can ride his raggedy ass 4 wheeler and sit up in his clown stand and blast a deer from 400 yards away with a rifle, where's all the real sportsman at?

I won't knock you for starting this. Was just sitting on the couch thinking pellet gun is ok at home for some stuff but a bow would be so much better. Used to do target stuff as a kid. Had John Krueger sign off my merit badge for boy scouts.

Never did hunting with it. Didn't need to eat from the land and never needed to cull but much respect for true sports(persons?) hunters. We are only caretakers.

I've got a couple old school long bows that were my dad's. They'll never see hunting though.

I like bows and bow accessories. I like sticking targets and animals with pointy sticks. Pretty much rescued me from psychotic sessions at the reloading bench.

Lots of action (rounders reference)

My next hunt will be with a bow, I've got a few different compounds and a recurve. The recurve is to humble myself with when I feel too good about life.

I've been a firearms junkie since I can remember. Six years ago I drunk clicked the place order button on a bow and haven't rifle hunted since. Went full retard too building arrows and shit. My first bow hunt was way more fun than all the previous years rifle hunting. Fuck tree stands cause hooch and :jerkoff:

Long bows cause pain and suffering from user error. Shit hurts like a muthafuck!

That's how I got into archery, I drunk ordered a crossbow and hunted hog and deer with it for years, then 2 years ago got myself a compound. I don't think I've gun hunted in almost 10 years

Enthusiast, collector (type 3 FFL), sportsman (hunter), competitor & reloader (trap, skeet & service rifle) - I know, what about handguns? Well, those too.

When hunting with a rifle became less of a challenge I took up archery. Haven't hunted with a bow yet but I'm not much of a still hunter, so probably no blinds or tree stands but finding the time to scout hasn't happened. Probably have to go guided. One day I'll drop bank on an elk hunt but that will be rifle. I shoot a 3D match once a month, LMK if anyone is interested. It's super casual and $10 for 20 targets, IIRC.

I just grabbed my shit and walked into the woods. Lots of failed spot and stalk and almost always 5 yards away from getting a clean shot so a lot of cat and mouse. That's most of the fun though.

3d is a good time. Shooting 20-30lb carp is giggity! I need to do more of that shit. Another quality beer drinking activity.

Nope. I'd totally bow fish. Wonder if that's legal for trout in California.
Catching carp with it. Got some catfish with it. Haven't been stopped yet. Trout seem a bit more elusive in my area for me to spot and hit ( especially with their smaller size). you won't catch me in a thong-kini though. It'll take more beer to make me involved in that activity.

There's some big rainbows in monache meadows and the river is shallow enough to damned near reach in and grab them. I was floating bait right in front of their faces and they weren't biting. Could easily tag them with an arrow.
