There's a thread around here somewhere, but don't do it if you can't adjust the uppers. You'll never get your alignment right.

Depends on how much you actually drive on the street. You can get your alignment “close enough” for something that’s more of an offroad vehicle. Most folks don’t get an alignment after every trip anyways so being a tad out of alignment isn’t the worst thing as long as the camber and caster is close enough. Just make sure your toe is dialed and you’ll be good to go.
I do my own alignments by eyeballing it and doing a few rest drives to get it dialed. It’s not perfect but I get pretty decent wear patterns out of my tires considering dirt miles put way more wear and tear than my street miles do.
If it’s a daily driver and you are putting a ton of street mileage on your truck then I’d be weary, but if you have a healthy mix of dirt/street driving then fuck it.

Nah I walk to work cause its a couple miles from home. But its 60 miles to the trails. So I pretty much gun it up the hwy to the trail head n my days off. Not a daily driver by any means...

I personally say fuck it. Just learn to do your own alignment. Once the camber and caster is set with the cam eliminators, all you gotta monitor is your toe which is super easy to adjust. You can even get alignment tools to make adjusting the toe it easier, but for someone like you a good eyeball alignment on a just fine.
I’m I have about 7k miles on mine with stock UCA and cam eliminators. I just recently rotated the tires when I did an oil change. Tire wear was better on the front than the rear (dirt miles eat up the rear faster than the front)

This ^^^

1) Get your alignment set.
2) Make cam-eliminator plates from 3/16" steel based on the cam bolt locations you measured after Step 1.
3) Only worry about toe in the future, which you can eyeball.

I went the easier route. Got shit lined up. Then tack welded my stock cam plates and bolts and marked em with paint pen. If the the tacks break and the paint lines start misaligning then I'll go through the hassle of making eliminator plates and welding larger tabs.

The reason I went with the eliminator kit is I actually broke the cams off the internal tube and alignment obviously couldn’t hold itself at all. Happened a couple times actually. Larger bolts, and no cams to break off the internal tube solved all my problems.

I get that for sure... I'll be heading to hammer town on the 30th. I ain't built to rampage but if I come back from desert fuckery and my shits out of alignment I'll go full send and cut and tub for larger tires and modify alignment setup.

I'm running cam eliminators with SPC uppers and uniball LBJs. I have them set to neutral/neutral for now

Thanks. I ended up going cheap. I got my alignment dialed in and then set 4 tack welds on each cam bolt plate/tab. It has been holding. I figure if I bust things this way I'll cut it all out and weld new tabs and add eliminators then.
