ABS disable mod

I disabled mine on the Taco because my TCS was wonky. Never missed the ABS since

Haven't read the thread you linked. I've pulled my abs motor and system and used a series of couplers and t's to link all my brake lines back together.

No but my ABS hasn’t worked since the day I bought my taco and it brakes perfectly fine without it

I've done it to the taco. Works great for snow and stopping in the dirt.

It's just grounding the system.

My Taco has a rear locker. When you turn it on it disables the abs system.
If you have one I assume it's the same.

I want to disable ABS while wheeling and I don't always use my locker. What's the best/easiest way?

If it’s like my 5G, push and hold the TCS button. I’m pretty sure that takes care of it.

My 4th gen isn't even that fancy. I pull the plug off the master because I'm too lazy to wire in a switch.

Did you tap the master plug or the 4wd ecu plug? Like I said I'm just lazy. Pulling the plug disables everything without locking the center diff so I can freely fuck around in AWD without the nannies kicking in.

But you wan the switch.

I've looked at the non-locker schematics and as he said it's still a work in progress.

Using my electrical knowledge there is a way, we'd have to run a wire to intercept where the fuse goes in and basically disconnect the fuse with a switch if that makes any sense.

If I remember correctly it’s a red wire of the master plug. I can check when I get home tomorrow morning.

One requires you to turn off the rig and flip the switch to get everything back. One doesn't.

I have the turn the rig off and it resets. It’s a monetary push switch.
