Yup. Next version will fit the glass better, and have provisions for both a winch and better cooling. The good news is you have the opportunity to change your bumper.

If you're signing up for this clusterfuck.FTFY
ThanksGlad to hear you are unharmed.
On the Gladiator front, now I have to figure out lifting a solid axle truck. Time for the link calculator I think, since jeep forums are even more retarded than #fuckTW.

It's easy as fuck.
Longer links, move the crossmember back, cut the shit that need stop be cut for longer coils/shocks, and ditch the jeep steering.
Congrats. Jeep did most of the leg work in building a solid axle truck, they just cheaped the fuck out on the axles.
So, while you're there, you might as well ditch the 30 and especially the fucking 35 in the back (I know the JLs use a 35 unless specced otherwise).
Gonna be a fun build to watch. Glad you decided to do it here and not the heep forum that tcbob owns.
Fair.I assumed I was automatically enrolled.
There was zero chance of me doing anything else, we'll see if I end up a Solid Axle convert, having both platforms to work with.
Incidentally, anyone want to OEM jeep wheels and skids?
He should be less of a pussy.
There's a reason most things moved to IFS.. it's not a miserable fuck to drive.

Lol no.
Ifs became a thing because of unsprung weight and packaging,, parts sharing across multiple platforms, and manufacturing costs.
When everything you build uses similar major systems, it's cheaper and easier to build it.
The industry doesn't care about ride quality, the market does. Ride quality is an ancillary benefit, but not the main one.
Besides, a quality set of shocks and springs solves solid axle ride issues.
So your buddy comparing a stock jeep to a vehicle with the highest quality suspension in its class is comparing apples to oranges.
3.73 gears and 31s from the factory.
Playing with a transmission calculator going to 35s and not regearing keeps me within 200 to 300 rpm through the low RPM range (up to about 4K) with an 8 speed I'm not sure I'll even notice that.
I don't understand why anyone puts 31s on vehicles billed to be an off road vehicle, with 3.73 no less.
