@Tetten loves his bead locks so much he threw his 16s on his turd gen and bought 17s for his 2nd gen to go with the 37s. I know @Hank just picked up a set too. I may have my sr8s converted once I've got a regular paycheck again.

Man you have to stop with the regular paycheck thing. Guys are starting to wonder if you are making a living giving out handjobs behind the circle K.

Severance runs through the end of October. I'm hoping to be back to work by the end of July. In the meantime I'm stashing money away in case I'm not and planning a couple multi day trips. I'm done spending money on toys until I get back to work.

Aluminum beads are nice. Still no one will balance them. I used beads and they work great. Then there is the torquing the bolts in a three step cross pattern. 1 beer job per tire. Maybe even 2. View attachment 7204

Discount Tire balances ours with 37s on them.

And maintenance is good family time. ;)

My daughter and I replacing tires.

Ehh I don't think I've ever said I loved them. They are expensive as fuck, require constant maintenance and ongoing money to maintain and use up the better part of a day to install. I've actively discouraged people from getting them, you included. If people aren't going out beating the shit out of your vehicle routinely, they aren't worth it.

I'm curious. I have never had beadlocks or thought about them. what is the constant maintenance?

I must have missed that conversation where you discouraged me. Hahha. You've talked about how much you like being able to air down to 8 and still romp around without worrying about blowing a bead a few times though.
