That's such a rad truck. I don't know if I could beat on something that awesome and rare. I think Tristen might be on here but not sure, but he has a pretty badass hilux that he is currently building. Not done yet but I'm gonna do 63s, RUF, and dual cases.
Right now I have lock-right 5.29 up front in a Trail Gear Taco SAS housing and a 5.29 regeared Taco Elocker rear axle.
Is that a thing?1 ton IFS
60" wide. Stock is 55".Why the TG housing over the stock one?
60" wide. Stock is 55".
Never seen it done but you can be the first. Is that a thing?
I was thinking about doing whoop scissors.
The Trail Gear housing came with shafts. I still have the stock housing but I had to reuse the knuckles. I'm going to sell the stock housing when I'm done being lazy. And what did you do with the stock housing?
What axle shafts you using?
The new housing came with knuckle balls. It was also cheaper than Ruff Stuff.Did you also have to cut and weld the knuckle ball off the stock housing onto the TG housing?
And what made you go with TG over Ruff Stuff? I have had great experience with Ruff Stuff, and shitty experience with TG.
Thanks. We'll see what happens I guess.Ok. Not trying to knock it and I wish you luck with it, but just my experience that any other mfr. option for a similar product that TG makes is the better option and worth the extra money.
