OK. Since we all made it out of last years Dusy run in mostly one piece we're doing it again. The we last year was:
@Tetten
@Mike_taco4x4
@rkntoy
@AssBurns
And me.
We've all talked about doing it again and others on the site have expressed interest. This will be the place to talk about it and get the plan firmed up.
The Dusy usually opens by the first week of August. The weather is good from Aug-Sept. Last year we ran it Aug 15th - 19th. This year there's been some talk of taking an entire week. So adding in the weekends that could be 9 potential days of wheeling. There's other trails close by that are also hard but much shorter. I think a lot of the original group plans to hit these after the Dusy. Swamp Lake, Coyote, and Mirror Lake are all very close.
A little about the trail. It's long and it is hard. Expect to break and have the parts and skills to fix it. We will have a no vehicle left behind policy but come with a proper rig. Don't be that guy.
Minimum requirements for the trail:
Driving skills.
Wrench skills.
Winch skills.
Hi-Lift skills.
Locked.
Armored.
35's(I did it last year so why not?)
Most of us on this site understand what the Dusy is. These are the guys I'm looking to hear from. Who's in and what dates will work. Once we figure out who is really going we can figure out the logistics a little better.
Roll Call:
